Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda, founder of the worldwide Chinmaya Mission, by
all his disciples, devotees and beneficiaries.

A vision centre to keep his
vision ever glowing and vibrant by empowering all workers of Chinmaya
Mission through appropriate training courses.

A means to bring awareness
among people at large about the life and work of Pujya Gurudev.
What is the vision?
The inner transformation of individuals through knowledge of Vedanta,
spiritual practices and service to society resulting in a happy world around
them.
Where is this project located?
It is in the Kolwan village of Maharashtra (a state of India), which is 2½
hours drive from Mumbai and 45 minutes drive from Pune (towards Mumbai). Here,
approximately 55 acres of land surrounded by the beautiful Sahyadri mountain
ranges have been purchased.
What will be the main features of this project?
The features are:
Journey with the
Master
Depiction of Pujya Gurudev's life,
work and teachings through various means including modern interactive
technology.
Chinmaya Enlightenment Park
This will be a unique park to
enlighten people about themselves and their life through Vedantic teachings of
great masters like Adi Shankaracharya and others presented through modern
multimedia. The theme of the park is: 'Look at your life as a whole and live a
whole life.'
Research and Training
Centres
Specific training programmes particularly for all
workers of Chinmaya Mission would be conducted here. This would equip them to
work more effectively in their respective fields of service either to children
(through Bal Vihars), youth (Yuva Kendras), adults (study classes), senior
citizens, rural development, education, etc
Campsite
A permanent infrastructure to conduct educative and
entertaining camps for children, youth and others.
International Convention
Hall
There will be an auditorium to seat 2000 persons. Every
effort will be made to house it with the best amenities and equipment possible.
Residential
Complex
Staying facilities for 2000 people with a large common
kitchen and dining hall.
Shrines
Shrines dedicated to Lord Ganesha and Lord Hanuman
would be constructed. The whole complex will be divinised by the presence of
Lord Ganesha on the hill top and by Lord Hanuman at the entrance of the project.
What is the project schedule?
Work would proceed in three phases. The preliminary work has already begun at
the site. Tree plantation and fencing work is being completed.
In the first phase the temple of Lord Hanuman, the administrative block,
partial kitchen and dining facility and residential blocks for 200 persons will
be completed. V.V. Architects of Pune have been appointed for this project.
What will be the estimated cost?
This is being worked out. However, the first phase will cost approximately
INR 70 million (INR 7 crores; US$ approximately 1.6 million).
Who will administer the whole project?
The Central Chinmaya Mission Trust, Mumbai (CCMT) which is the apex body of
the world wide Chinmaya Mission will administer the project.
