On 30 October 2016, on the auspicious occasion of Diwali, 5 more Chinmaya Mission Brahmachari and Brahmacharinis cast off their yellow to enter the Sannyasa ashrama at the sacred Adi Sankara Nilayam, Chinmaya International Foundation in Kerala.
- Br. Shruti Chaitanya (Pondicherry, Tamil Nadu; next Tamil- English Vedanta Course Acharya) – Swamini Pratishthananda
- Br. Kushal Chaitanya (Guntur, Andhra Pradesh) – Swami Suveerananda
- Br. Kutastha Chaitanya (CIF, Kerala) – Swami Shashvatananda
- Br. Dev Chaitanya (Uttarkashi) – Swami Devatmananda
- Br. Yogesh Chaitanya (CIF, Kerala) – Swami Shabarishananda
Br Sidhu and Br Santhosh received Brahmacharya Deeksha and are now known as Br. Sudheer Chaitanya (Kottayam) and Br. Anand Chaitanya respectively
