FEI has instituted this award in memory of Ms. Shailaja Nair, the Late propreitoress of the fleet of cargo companies who was passionate about the Print media.

There were 675 Entries with a very Impressive Jury Panel, which has done a thoroughly professional job, making many categories. The Jury panel was headed by Bharat Dabholkar: Irfan Khan, Corporate Communication Head,Coco Cola,Lalitha Vaidyanathan, science writer, Aashutosh Rathod, Dy. Registrar of Mbai University, Anjaji rathod, Education.

There were 18 award categories in all : Gold, Silver, Bronze, and then for different Credits  like Best Title, Content, Design n Layout, Educational Institutes, Banks, Employee participation, Best Cover page, Best Regional Language, Special jury Award and Best NGO magazine. 

Balavihar got the 1st Runner Up for the Best In-house Magazine amongst NGOs. 

The ceremony was presided by the Governor of Maharashtra.

BV dedicates this Award to the Founder of our Mission, whom we fondly call Pujya Gurudev, not only out of a sense of platitudinous gratitude, but also because he was a fulltime journalist before he became a fulltime monk. He was a man of letters, a man of words and a man of HIS WORD! Next, this award goes to my Guruji, who motivates us all "to work for a CAUSE and not for mere Applause!"
