"Ram - Know, Love, Be!" - Camp in Bali, Indonesia
In the most picturesque and scenic settings of the Bali island of Indonesia, surrounded by lush green paddy fields of Ubud village, a blessed group of 50 delegates spent 5 days of unforgettable time in the divine company of Swami Abhedanandaji. This was a unique and first-ever international camp of sorts, which was organized by Chinmaya Mission South Africa to support the fund raising activities for construction of Chinmaya Shivam Temple & Ashram expansion project in Durban. 'Chinmaya Anandam' an initiative of CORD, Thamaraipakkam for Development of Differently-Abled
To provide a platform for unified action by the differently-abled towards their development, CORD Thamaraipakkam has formed a group named 'Chinmaya Anandam'' (meaning Chinmaya Happiness). A hamlet in this area called 'Aathupakkam' (meaning Riverside Village) has a plethora of persons, both men and women, challenged either physically or mentally. Every family in the village seem to have one such person. 'Chinmaya Anandam' (called 'Chinmaya Umang' in Sidhbari) was launched on 23rd January 2011 in this village under the guidance and facilitation of Sri.R.Silambarasan (who completed the 6 month Chinmaya Samaj Sevak Course (CSSC)). Silambarasan himself is a physically challenged person. He has motivated 26 Persons with Disablities (PWDs) to join this group and more are expected to join....

'STRATEGY FOR SUCCESS' - Youth camp at Hyderabad
CHYK – Hyderabad organized a youth camp for two days on the topic Strategy for Success on 28th and 29th August, 2010. Swami Chidatmananda conducted talks on Managing Awareness, Managing Oneself, Managing Watchfulness and Managing Interactions. Brni. Deepa and Br. Ravi Chaitanya gave short talks on Success. Br. Kushal Chaitanya conducted the games session. CHYK member Ravi Kiran conducted the Ice breaking sessions. The camp left effective impressions on the participants and a few of them showed interest to join regular CHYK classes. The enthusiastic and inspired new CHYK members who joined the Chinmaya Yuva Kendra fold after the camp in December, 2009 worked alongside the experienced senior CHYK members together for the success of the camp. -Spandana

'The Thousand names of Vishnu'
Swami Chidatmananda conducted a 41 days Jnana Yagna on 'The Thousand names of Vishnu' from 12th september to 22nd october 2010,at Chinmaya Dhyana Nilayam. It was a Nice experience to the listeners to get an exposure to the Thousand Names continuously for 41days. Vishnu Sahasra Nama Homam was performed daily,in the mornings, on all the 41 days.Sudarshana Homam was performed on 23rd October .Vishnu Sahasra nama chanting was conducted everyday in the evening [There were around 70 committed participants who attended the yagna regularly on the weekdays and around 120 people attended the Yagna on the weekends.]

13-Jan-2011: Update on the Health of Swami Purushottamananda
ॐ Dear All, Hari Om! Pujya Swami Purushottamanandaji is still in the ICU. Swamiji's health remains critical and Swamiji is on a ventilator. Swamiji also has been found to have cancer of the lymph nodes. Further tests are being carried out and appropriate treatment is being given. We all need to fervently continue with our prayers for Pujya Swamiji's recovery and well being. I request all members and devotees NOT TO make calls enquiring about Pujya Swamiji's health. 150th Birth Year celebration of Swami Vivekananda
    In connection with the 150th Birth Year Celebrations of Swami Vivekananda the Ramakrishna Mission in Delhi hosted a 3-day Inter-faith meet “Awakening Indians “ from 11th to 13th September. H.H. Dalai Lama flagged off the event at the Ramakrishna Mission Auditorium in Delhi. Our former President, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was the Chief Guest at this event. The topic for this meeting of luminaries was - World Meet for Peace and Harmony. Pujya Guruji, Swami Tejomayananda was chairperson of the 1st Session, on Peace and Harmony – The religious Perspective. 2010 Mahasamadhi Camp in Los Angeles
The 17th annual Mahasamadhi Camp hosted by Chinmaya Mission Los Angeles was one that was filled with spiritual learning, fun and great warmth. Over 750 people from across North America along with delegates sprinkled from the Caribbean, Australia and India gathered in Southern California, making it one of the largest Chinmaya camps in America. From July 29 to August 3, delegates reveled in the teachings propounded by Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda and elucidated by Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda and other Chinmaya Mission acharyas. The residential camp, held at the Burbank Marriott - usually the venue of business travelers - was turned into a “mini-India.” Entry into the convention center was through a large temple arch. 25 years of rural development work in Sidhbari
LETTER FROM CORD -------------------------- Pujya Swamiji, Pranams. Today with Param Pujya Gurudevs blessings and Pujya Swamijis kind support and guidance, comprehensive integrated rural development work in Sidhbari has completed 25 years. Param Pujya Gurudev inaugurated this work on 10th April 1985 when the newly admitted 1st batch of nurses responded with a beautiful bhajan in the Satsang Hall that resounded with the showering of His blessings that reverberated with the echo of His love for the development of rural India. 26th Annual Vedic Heritage Youth Camp at CMC-Badri
With Pujya Gurudev’s grace and Pujya Guruji’s blessings, 181 children from the Chicagoland area, other US cities, as well as Ontario, Canada enjoyed an inspiring camp on the beautiful grounds of the Badri center in Willowbrook, IL. From June 23-29, 2008, the children were taught by Swami Sharanananda, Brni Bhamati Chaitanya, Br Eric, Acharya Anant Sharma, Smt Lakshmi Sukumar and Bala Vihar teachers. Each acharya was assisted by a local Bala Vihar teacher. All volunteers in every department worked with the true yajna spirit, under the able leadership of our camp coordinator, Mrs. Anu Mirmira.
