Swamini Gayananda, a senior disciple of Pujya Gurudev based at Nagpur merged with Pujya Gurudev today, 17th August 2017 at 2:35pm.
She completed a doctorate in Statistics, taught Statistics for 20 years and had met Pujya Gurudev in 1964. In the years 1981 to 1984, she did the Vedanta Course in Sidhbari under Pujya Guruji, Swami Tejomayanandaji. Amma was initiated into Sannyasa by Pujya Gurudev on Mahashivaratri on 2nd March 1992.
Since then, she has served Chinmaya Mission Nagpur, conducting many shravan sadhanas and spiritual camps, jnana yajnas and various other activities. In particular, Chinmaya Sadhana Kendra, Pavnar, Wardha a retreat centre came by her efforts. We pay respectful homage to her.
