Taking Gita & Gurudev (2G) to every house

Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda & Bhagavad Gita visited 100 houses commemorating Chinmaya Birth Centenary Celebrations 2015-16

To commemorate Chinmaya Birth Centenary Celebrations, Chinmaya Mission, Puducherry conducted Illamthorum Geethai – A project to reach out 100 houses of devotees from different walks of life wherein Guru Paduka Puja and Satsang on Bhagavat Gita were organized. The programme started in October 2015 and concluded on 30th April 2016. Smt. Raji Narayanan co‑ordinated the event with the help of a team of sevaks.

Devotees welcomed Pujya Gurudev and Bhagavad Gita with poorna kumbam. That was followed by Guru Paduka Puja performed by the family members of the devotees with the guidance of Brni. Shruti Chaitanyaji. After Chinmaya Aarati, Brni. Shrutiji would recite a sloka from Bhagavad Gita and narrate the significance and meaning of the sloka. Thus, Japa, Puja and Chintanam was organized at every house purifying one within and without.

Devotees in Satsang

Every house saw an average of 50 participants drawn from the friends and relatives of the family concerned, thus introducing many new members to Chinmaya Mission.  Arunachalamji and Priyaji from Tamaraipakkam and Brni. Shraddha Chaitanyaji also facilitated the programme.

The programme was well received and the devotees attending the satsang appreciated the practical application of Bhagavat Gita in day-to-day life, it is applicable to all going beyond age, caste, creed and religion.
