TEMPLES & SHRINES

Gurudev said, "a temple is that which gives an atmosphere for the human mind to quieten itself into the contemplation of the higher Reality".

  • Name of Deity: Bhakta Hanuman
  • Location: London, United Kingdom
  • Consecrated on: 5th April 2004 - Shri Hanuman Jayanti

This beautiful idol made of panchaloha was the same one worshipped during the Chinmaya Vishwa Sammelan. Hanumanji's posture is a replica of Hanumanji in Rambodha, Sri Lanka. The idol was installed in Chinmaya Mission London's centre, Chinmaya Kirti, by Swami Chidatmananda on Shri Hanuman Jayanti day in 2004.

The ideal bhakta, Hanumanji stands with hands folded forever ready to serve his Lord and the Lord's devotees. He inspires one and all to lead a life of single-pointed devotion and service to the Lord.
