Chinmaya Institute of Management is affiliated to the Bangalore University for two courses: Post Graduate Diploma in Hospital Management and Health Care Management, and Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management. In addition, there are a number of excellent certifications in Management fields as well as short Management Modules on Quality Control, Technical Skills and Modules on Soft Skills.

Post Graduate Diploma in Hospital Management and Health Care Management

Hospitals play a critical role in improving the health status of society and they are the backbone of the healthcare delivery system. Today, health care is one of the fastest growing sectors. Existing healthcare organisations are expanding by opening hospitals in new service areas. New organisations are entering with latest technology, state-of-art equipment and market strategies. Consequently, health providers are increasingly confronted with a need for judicious management. The programme tries to meet this need by providing trained managers for this job. The programme provides a generalist perspective which enables students to view a hospital in a holistic manner as well as place it in the context of the larger demand for healthcare services. While the programme is based on the standard model of management education as practiced by top ranking institutions, this programme is distinguished by its rigour and discipline and the strong emphasis on hospital-based learning.

Objectives of the course:

The candidates at the end of the programme will be able to:

    This element of the course helps the students to get practically exposed to various departments in Chinmaya Mission Hospital and also facilitates their learning of several aspects like planning, functions, staffing pattern and various problems faced in the departments.

    Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management

    Human Resources (HR) department exists in all sectors whether Central Government organisations, State Government organisations, Banks, Information Technology sector, public sector undertakings, or private sector. Effective HR Personnel is a requirement of all organisations for the growth of individuals, organisation, country and the world.

    Examinations: Examinations are conducted by Bangalore University at the end of the year and certificates are issued by them.

    Eligibility: Candidates with 40 percent marks in aggregate in Bachelor's Degree from a recognised University are eligible for admission. Candidates studying in a regular course of study in any discipline are not eligible for admission.
