Chinmaya Jyoti Yatra – Day 128, Gangtok,Sikkim.
In the heart of Gangtok likes the bustling M G Marg; Gangtok’s walking plaza market. The Chinmaya Sandesh Vahini was stationed for the entire day for visitors to come and learn about the life and teachings of Swami Chinmayananda. Through out the day, almost 5000 people came to visit the exhibition.
During the day, talks were organised at various locations in Gangtok. Swami Mitrananda spoke to the students of Sikkim Manipal University on the topic ‘Empowering to Excel’. Swamiji’s talk was inaugurated by the Governor of Sikkim Sri S D Patil. Also Present for the same were SMU Vice Chancellor Brig Dr Somnath Mishra & SMIMS Dean Air Marshall G S Juneja.
Swami Chaitanyananda spoke to the students of the Tashi Namgyal Senior Secondary School, Gangtok on the topic ‘Time & Mind Management’ while a Transformation workshop was conducted by one of the YuvaVeers at the Deorali Girls Senior Secondary School, Deorali.
In the afternoon, Gurudev visited the CM Centre in Ranipool, Gangtok where He blessed the balvihar children. Paduka pooja was performed at the centre by the devotees. He also visited the Kanchi Kamakothi Shiv Mandir, Jalipool next door. Here, Swami Chaitanyananda addressed the gathering of devotees on the topic “Explore your infinite potential”.
Swami Mitrananda interacted with the balvihar children and the students of the veda pathshala of the Kanchi Kamakothi Shiv Mandir. Later, the children got an opportunity to go and visit the Yagnatarium, Chinmaya Sandesh Vahini and the special performance by the Sikkim Police Band.
In the evening, the Sikkim Police Band put up a performance for Him in the M G Marg square where the Chinmaya Sandesh Vahini was parked. The band paid tribute to Gurudev and enthralled the visitors there with their melodious tunes
