Introduction

Chinmaya Mission Calgary (CHMC) was established in 1982. It has since evolved into a dynamic center serving several hundred families. This CM center in the Canadian Rockies is affiliated with CM Vancouver.

Weekly Adult Study Groups and Bala Vihar classes for youth and children are held throughout the year at the local “Hindu Mandir.” As spirituality should be a family-based lifestyle, CMHC takes special care to conduct spiritual and cultural programs that interest all members of the family. CMHC also offers Sanskrit and other Indian language classes, and bhajan and chanting classes. Jnana yajnas are conducted annually by various CM Swamins and Brahmacharins.
