Introduction

Chinmaya Mission San Diego (CMSD) was inaugurated on January 28, 2001, in the presence of Swami Ishwarananda, with a Krishna puja conducted by Pandit Ravichandran. CMSD’s official incorporation took place on August 8, 2005, when it announced its plans to build an ashram–a project blessed and named by Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda as “Chinmaya Jyoti.”
