This ashram is situated between Toap & Sambhapur villages, about 13 km away from the city of Kolhapur. Kolhpur is a historic city of Maharashtra, sanctified by the Shakti Peetha of Mahalakshmi. The ashram land was donated to the Mission. In January 1991 some devotees from Kolhapur along with Swami Purushottamananda met Pujya Gurudev in Mumbai to seek blessings and guidance to develop the land. Soon enough a beautiful ashram came up. The ashram spreads over 8 acres of serene land, most suited for spiritual sadhana. It is mainly developed as a site for spiritual camps and also as a Sandeepany centre, the Vedanta Gurukula in Marathi. There are comfortable self-contained rooms and the ashram can accommodate 150 persons. The ashram has two satsang halls each with a capacity of 300 persons. Within the precincts of the ashram stands an 85 ft tall Ganesha idol, Chinmaya Ganadhish, blessing all visitors and pilgrims to the ashram. The idol is seated on a huge Meditation Hall. There is also the Sri Dakshineshwar Kailasnath temple, which has a sphatika linga in the sanctum sanctorum. The ashram is managed by the Chinmaya Seva Trust Maharashtra, which also undertakes various service projects for nearby villages providing them medical help and value-education.
