Swamini Bhumananda has been connected with Chinmaya Mission since 1985. She completed the Residential Vednta course at Sandeepany Mumbai in 2004 under Swami Ishwarananda. She got Brahmachari Deeksha by Guruji, Pujya Swami Tejomayananda and the name Bhamati Chaitanya. Swami Swarupananda gave her sanyasa deeksha on Shivaratri day, 8th March 2024.
She was residential Brahmacharini at Boston USA for some years where she conducted satsangas, started number of study group classes for adults and CHYKS on Vedanta and bhakti texts as well as Tulasi Ramayana
and Bhagavatam.
With her love for children she conducted Balvihar camps every summer and was also invited to be part of the same at other centers. She uniquely involved junior CHYKS for responsible work at these camps to inculcate and empower their leadership qualities.
Besides, she participated in the yearly Interfaith Council. meetings of her town, regularly addressed college students majoring in Religion with Hindu religion as a part of their curriculum. This included orienting them at her center to ritualistic worships like Abhisheka, Havan, pujas for their education.
After returning to Bharat, and stay at Powai Ashram she is appointed as residential Acharya at Narayan Zone Center in Gatkopar in November 2023. Here she
continues her work in English Hindi and Gujarati languages to reach out to larger strata of people to help them connect to spirituality.
