At the very core of Chinmaya Mission and its USP is the ageless wisdom of Advaita Vedanta made available in the tradition of the guru-shishya parampara. Vedanta the essential core of Hinduism is the universal science of life, relevant to all people of all backgrounds and faiths. Though a Hindu organization, it does not seek to convert other religious practitioners.

Following in the traditions of Chinmaya Mission, the Delhi chapter holds regular classes for the study of ­the Bhagavad-gita, the Upanishads, Ramacharitamanas and other Vedantic texts. Swami Prakarshananda, the present Acharya, well versed in the Scriptures conducts classes at the Lodhi Road and Chittaranjan Park centers as well as several other venues in the Capital.

The spiritual knowledge and the universal values of Vedanta that aim for the inner growth of the individual are available for all ages…from infancy to the senior citizen…reaching each at their own level of understanding.
