Humble Origins, Lifesaving Impact
From a Modest Room to A Full-fledged Hospital
CMH began in 1960 when a small group of devoted followers of Swami Chinmayananda sought to serve humanity by offering their skills and resources. They rented a modest room in Murphy Town, a slum area in Bengaluru, and began running a biweekly medical clinic for the underprivileged.
When Gurudev learned of this heartfelt initiative, he envisioned a full-fledged hospital dedicated to compassionate care. Inspired by this vision, funds were raised, land was acquired and construction began. In 1970, CMH was officially inaugurated by Gurudev in Indira Nagar, thus, in a decade, it turned from a small Clinic to an Institution, rooted in service, compassion, and healing.
