On 3 October 2026, Maharshi Patanjali Vidya Mandir (MPVM), Prayagraj, resonated with the sacred chants of the Bhagavad Gita as Chinmaya Mission Prayagraj organised Gita Samarpanam, commemorating the Chinmaya Mission Amrit Mahotsav, 75 years of spreading the timeless wisdom of Vedanta and the Bhagavad Gita.

The gathering brought together spiritual leaders, academicians, teachers, students and devotees in a collective offering of devotion. The programme commenced with an invocation to Lord Ganesha, Guru Vandana and Gita Archana, led by Brahmacharini Shaswati Chaitanya.

The occasion was graced by Swami Abhedananda, Spiritual Head of Chinmaya Mission Durban, South Africa, and Mentor of Chinmaya Mission Prayagraj. Eminent academicians Prof. Rajeev Tripathi, former Director of MNNIT, and Prof. Rajeev Srivastava, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at MNNIT, also attended the programme.

A notable highlight was the presentation of Gita Panchamrit by students of the Maharshi Patanjali Group of Schools, reflecting the importance of nurturing spiritual values and India's rich heritage among the younger generation.

At the heart of the celebration was Gita Samarpanam - the collective chanting of Chapter 15, Purushottama Yoga, three times. The collective recitation created an atmosphere of devotion and spiritual harmony as voices united in reverence for the timeless wisdom of the Gita.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Krishna Gupta, President of Chinmaya Navin Sevashram Nyas and Secretary of Maharshi Patanjali Vidya Mandir, reflected on the life and vision of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda and the transformative power of the Bhagavad Gita. She highlighted how regular Gita chanting can nurture inner strength, clarity and enduring values.

Swami Abhedananda further illuminated the relevance of the Bhagavad Gita, reminding the audience that its wisdom helps dispel ignorance, meet life's challenges with equanimity and cultivate clarity, devotion, gratitude and selfless service.

The programme concluded with the Chinmaya Mission Pledge, Gita Aarti and the closing prayers, leaving participants with a deep sense of fulfilment and spiritual enrichment.
