Satsang

At Chinmaya Mission, regular Satsangs, mostly held every Sunday, welcome entire families to come together in devotion and learning. Each session typically features prayers and invocations, soulful bhajans and an inspiring discourse by our Swamiji or Acharya.

Participants spend about an hour each week reading and listening about various Scriptures. These gatherings offer a space for collective reflection, spiritual growth and living the eternal wisdom of Vedanta in a warm and uplifting atmosphere.

Satsang is an opportunity to empower the entire family with knowledge on living a value-based life, deepening spiritual understanding and growing together in truth and harmony.

Key Aspects of Chinmaya Mission Satsang

    • Vedantic Teachings: The core of Chinmaya Mission's approach is based on Advaita Vedantic principles, which emphasise the unity of all things and the realisation of the Self.

    • Spiritual Study: Satsangs centre around the study of ancient texts like the Upanishads and other spiritual teachings, as well as discussions and insights on the teachings of Swami Chinmayananda.

    • Community: Satsangs provide a space for individuals to connect with like-minded people who are also seeking spiritual knowledge and guidance.

    • Discussion and Questioning: Satsangs often include opportunities for participants to ask questions, share their insights and engage in discussions about the spiritual concepts being explored.

Our present work may be great or small. Yet, the important thing is to do it well.
