Hon'ble Chief Minister of Assam, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma attended the Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav programme in Guwahati on 24 July 2026, offered Aarti, visited the Chinmaya Amrit Vahini, warmly interacted with Swami Mitrananda and the Yatris and unveiled the Assamese translation of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda's commentary of 'The Holy Geeta'. 

While addressing the Press, the Hon'be CM mentioned, "Chinmaya Mission is doing huge work for the revival of our Sanatan philosophy and tradition, and also laying the foundation for a very bright future for India. I would like to wish a great success for the Yatra, and I am feeling blessed to be here today."
