Chinmaya Mission Austin

A center for spiritual growth and learning for all.

Chinmaya Mission Austin (CMA) was established in 1988 with the inspiration and support of Acharya Gaurangbhai and Acharya Darshanaben of Chinmaya Mission Houston. As part of the global Chinmaya Mission family, CMA offers well-established and time-tested programs based on Vedanta for the inner growth and development of individuals of all ages and from all walks of life. Our beautiful facility, Chinmaya Sundaram was inaugurated by Pujya Guruji Swami TejomayanandaJi on June 26, 2014.

CMA conducts weekly Bala Vihar and Shishu Vihar classes for children, discourses (Satsangs) and study groups for adults, and Gita chanting and Swaranjali bhajan classes for both adults and children. Hindi, Sanskrit and Kannada language classes are also offered on the weekends. The Sri Soma Sundareswara Temple at Chinmaya Mission Austin is open to all and holds regular Abhishekams, special Pujas and observance of special events and festivals. Priya Ji Maini

Priya Ji completed the 15th Vedanta Course (2011–2013) at Sandeepany Sadhanalaya under Swami Advayananda and Swami Sharadananda.

She has served at Chinmaya International Residential School and the Chinmaya Somnath center in Washington, D.C.

A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, she balances her professional career with dedicated seva.

Having grown up in Bala Vihar, she remains committed to sharing Pujya Gurudev’s teachings.

Rahul Ji Maini

He holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Southern California and balances his professional career with dedicated seva.

Having grown up in Bala Vihar, he remains committed to sharing Pujya Gurudev’s timeless teachings with future generations.

Meena Aunty

A member of the Chinmaya Mission family since 1987, Meena Aunty helped establish Bala Vihar and Adult Satsang in Texarkana and Shreveport.

She studied Vedanta at Sandeepany Sadhanalaya and later at Krishnalaya under revered acharyas and Guruji.

After retiring from her cardiology practice in 2016, she moved to Austin and continued her seva.

Today, she shares Sri Gurudev’s teachings through study groups and Sunday adult classes.
