The Uttarkashi leg of the Chinmaya Amrit Yatra from 5-10 September 2026 was a beautiful blend of spiritual programmes, Paduka Puja, Hanuman Chalisa chanting, Sadhu Seva, Ganga Aarti, and meaningful interactions with students, youth, and senior officers.

The Yatra team arrived in Uttarkashi on 5 September. Gurudev’s Padukas were taken to Soma Kashi Vishwanath Mandir for Paduka Puja, following which the team proceeded to Tapovan Kutir, where the Padukas were received with Poornakumbha and Aarti. The evening included Aarti of Swami Tapovan Maharaj, followed by the sacred Ganga Aarti.

On 6 September, the morning began with Paduka Puja, followed by the chanting of the Hanuman Chalisa seven times by sadhus and swamis from Uttarkashi. The programme concluded with a Sadhu Bhandara. In the evening, in a programme coordinated by Ajay Poojari, Yuvaveers conducted a talk and interaction and also facilitated Vahini Darshan at Viswanathan Mandir Gurukula for around 60 youngsters. The day concluded with the evening Aarti of Swami Tapovan Maharaj.

The Yatra continued its outreach to young minds on 7 September. Over 1,000 students attended an Assembly Talk at MDS Christian School, coordinated by Principal Sister Sholane. In the afternoon, a talk and interaction coordinated by Dr. Radhakrishnan, Manager at Sanskrit Vidyalaya was held for the students, along with Vahini Darshan.

On 8 September, the team visited Alpine Public School, where a talk and interaction coordinated by Principal Mr. Rajender Singh was held and later, a talk was conducted at Ramachandra Uniyal Government PG University for approximately 100 students, coordinated by Ms. Natasha, Deputy Head.

On 9 September, in a programme coordinated by Col. Mukesh Kumar, the Yatra team visited the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) Head Office, where a talk and presentation was held for around 30 senior officers. The day concluded with the evening Aarti of Swami Tapovan Maharaj.

On 10 September, the Yatra team departed from Uttarkashi in the morning and proceeded towards Gangotri, continuing the sacred journey of the Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav Yatra.

The presence of Gurudev’s Padukas and Vahini Darshan brought the message and blessings of Gurudev to different sections of society. The daily Aarti of Swami Tapovan Maharaj, together with the sacred presence of Mother Ganga, added a deep spiritual dimension to the entire Yatra.
