As part of the Chinmaya Amrit Yatra celebrations in Amritsar, five books of Chinmaya Mission were released in Punjabi, marking a significant step towards making the timeless teachings of Vedanta and the message of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda accessible to Punjabi-speaking readers.

The books translated from English to Punjabi are: Game of Life, In Indian Culture: Why Do We?, We Must, Manual of Self Unfoldment and Bhaja Govindam (commentary by Swami Chinmayananda).

The initiative aims to take the knowledge and wisdom of the Chinmaya Mission to a wider audience by presenting its literature in the language and cultural context familiar to the people of Punjab. The Punjabi translations are expected to particularly benefit students, youth, families and spiritual seekers who wish to explore Vedanta and Indian spiritual traditions in their mother tongue.

Speaking on the occasion, Swami Mitrananda in-charge of Chinmaya Mission Chennai and North East) emphasised the importance of the teachings reaching people across linguistic and cultural boundaries. He said that this is an opportunity to connect with people across the country and share the universal message of the Bhagavad Gita and Advaita Vedanta.
