On this sacred day, the Bhoomi Puja for the Chinmaya Sainik School for Girls was performed with the soothing rays of the luminous full moon casting a divine glow on the proceedings.

The momentous event took place in the presence of the Hon'ble Home Minister of Manipur Sri Govindas K Singh, Smt Pooja Elangbam, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bishnupur district, in Manipur, Sri Asnikumar Moirangthem, senior leader and spokesperson for BJP in Manipur, Sri Th. Shanti Singh, MLA of Moirang, and Swami Mitrananda, Mentor, Chinmaya Mission Chennai and North East Bharat.

Swami Mitrananda, under whose guidance this visionary initiative has been taken up, spoke on the significance of Guru Purnima and the importance of building the Chinmaya Sainik School for Girls in this area. He said it is a wonderful opportunity for Chinmaya Mission to serve the people of Manipur.

Such schools play a significant role in empowering girls by offering high-quality education, leadership training, building physical fitness and resilience, and the chance to pursue careers in the armed forces and beyond. Added to that will be the holistic beauty of values, spiritual traditions, culture and universal outlook that Chinmaya Mission's educational movement offers.

Sri Asnikumar, Secretary, Chinmaya Mission Manipur, thanked the Government for its wholehearted support in this endeavour.
