In view of Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav, on 25 April 2026, Chinmaya Mission Guwahati in association with GNT Chinmaya Vidyalaya organised a Samashti Gita Chanting programme at Chinmaya Kendra.

The event began with the chanting of Shanti Path, creating a serene and devotional atmosphere. This was followed by the ceremonial Deep Prajwalan (lamp lighting) by Shri Narayan Borkataky (Retd. MP), Shri Ajit Sarmah Baruah (Bhogali Jalpan), Brahmacharini Ananya Chaitanya (spiritual in-charge Chinmaya Mission Guwahati), Brahmacharini Mitali and Brahmachari Shubhashish.

The guests were warmly welcomed by Smt. Shikha Chakraborty (Devi Group Member). The Chief Guest, Shri Krishnanjan Chanda (Principal, South Point School) was felicitated and he shared his address with the gathering. Brni Ananya Chaitanya also delivered an insightful talk on the importance of chanting Gita for Global Peace.

Around 400 students, along with teachers and parents from various schools, participated enthusiastically in the collective chanting of Chapter 15 of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, creating a powerful and uplifting spiritual experience.

The cultural segment featured vibrant Bihu and Sattriya dance performances by students of Monalisa Dance Academy, adding a rich traditional flavor to the event. The programme was gracefully anchored by Dr. Sunita Agarwalla, Secretary of Chinmaya Mission Guwahati.

The event concluded with the distribution of certificates to participants, trophies to schools and refreshments to all, leaving all with a deep sense of spiritual fulfillment and community bonding.
