
It is a matter of great pride and joy for the global Chinmaya Mission family that Swami Tejomayananda was felicitated on 21 April 2026 at Ekatma Parva 2026 – Shankara Prakatotsava at Ekatma Dham, Omkareshwar, on the sacred occasion of Shri Adi Shankaracharya Jayanti.
This honour has been conferred by Acharya Shankar Sanskritik Ekta Nyas under the Department of Culture, Government of Madhya Pradesh. It recognises Swami Tejomayananda's extraordinary and enduring contribution to the living tradition of Advaita Vedanta, through his inspired teachings, devotional compositions and decades of tireless work.
The Shankaravaranam ceremony was presided over by Swami Avdeshanand Giri (Juna Peethadhishwar Acharya Mahamandaleshwar, Haridwar), and graced by Swami Punyanand Giri (Head of Dakshinamurti Math, Varanasi), Shri Shri Maa Poornaprajna (Resident Acharya, Acharya Shankar Sanskritik Ekta Nya), and Shri Dharmendra Singh Lodhi (distinguished guest and State Minister for Culture, Government of Madhya Pradesh).
