The UK witnessed a spiritually enriching weekend centred on Shri Hanuman, with a series of talks titled The Glory of Hanuman followed by a grand Hanuman Chalisa Havan.

Led by Swami Swaroopananda, Global Head of Chinmaya Mission, the talks explored the deeper meaning and significance of the Hanuman Chalisa, revealing the strength, wisdom and devotion reflected in its verses.

Chanted daily by millions, the Hanuman Chalisa came alive in a profound and inspiring way as the sessions went beyond what is recited, inviting listeners to reflect on what can be aspired to through the character, courage, humility and devotion embodied by Shri Hanuman.

These insights set the stage for the Hanuman Chalisa Havan on Sunday, 20 September 2026, bringing the teachings into a collective spiritual offering. Hundreds of devotees came together to chant the Hanuman Chalisa and participate in the sacred havan.

The ceremony featured 108 Havan Kunds, with participants collectively reciting 21 Hanuman Chalisas. The Havan served as a beautiful culmination of the two evenings of The Glory of Hanuman, transforming understanding into collective prayer and offering. The chanting and sacred fire created an atmosphere of deep reverence, unity and devotion, with the gathering holding a shared prayer for peace and prosperity for all.

The weekend marked a significant moment in Chinmaya Mission UK's Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, bringing together knowledge, devotion and collective action in the spirit of Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda's vision.
