
World Environment Day was observed with great enthusiasm at the Onakkoor facility of Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth (CVV) reaffirming the University's commitment to environmental sustainability and ecological responsibility.
The celebrations were inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Manoj Kumar Arora, who planted a tree sapling as a symbol of the institution's dedication to environmental conservation. Addressing the gathering, the Vice Chancellor highlighted the importance of preserving nature for future generations and emphasised the collective responsibility of individuals and institutions in protecting the environment and promoting sustainable practices.
The faculty members, staff and students took the environment protection pledge reaffirming their commitment to safeguarding nature and fostering environmentally conscious lifestyles.
The celebrations were organised by the University's Seva Club which conducted a series of environment-related activities from May 15 onwards. These initiatives aimed to raise awareness about environmental issues and encourage active participation in conservation efforts. The programmes witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members and staff, reflecting the University's shared commitment to environmental stewardship
Through such initiatives, Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth continues to nurture environmental awareness and inspire the community to contribute towards building a greener and more sustainable future.
