Celebrating 75 Years of Chinmaya Mission, a Gita Chanting Competition was conducted by Chinmaya Mission, Kuwait (registered as BHASKER - Bharat Samskara Kender) on 5 December 2025, in association with three like-minded associations, at the Indian Embassy in Kuwait. The programme was held as part of the International Gita Mahotsav 2025, as envisioned by the Government of India.

The script, recording and guidelines, as provided by Central Chinmaya Mission Trust, were shared with all involved to ensure that all the children chanted the verses correctly and would be judged in a uniform manner.

Each association conducted their competition internally and selected a maximum of five children per group to compete in the Finals. More than 300 children participated with great enthusiasm in the initial rounds, and a total of 77 children across all groups and associations participated in the Finals.

Neutral judges for the event were chosen, and they were briefed about the various parameters – Memory, Presentation and Pronunciation to be used for evaluating the children. To ensure that this judging process is fair, two sets of judges were present for each of the groups during the chanting by the children.

All the participants received a copy of the Bhagavad Gita and an Om night light along with a certificate of participation. The Winners were awarded with Om Lamps along with their certificates by the officials of the Indian Embassy and other dignitaries.

The competition was a resounding success, fostering a sense of community, cultural pride, tradition and spiritual awareness among the participating children and the associations.
