As part of the global Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, Chinmaya Mission Ann Arbor hosted a grand spiritual and cultural gathering from 17-19 July 2026, commemorating the 75th anniversary of Chinmaya Mission and the Golden Jubilee of Bala Vihar in North America. 

Graced by the august presence of Swami Swaroopananda, Global Head of Chinmaya Mission, the three-day celebration stood as a vibrant expression of devotion and service. The festivities began with Paduka Puja, a dinner satsang, and an English discourse titled "Destiny: Who's in Charge?" based on the Gita Panchamrit, five essential verses of the Bhagavad Gita. The following day featured a Chinmaya Organisation for Rural Development (CORD) USA representatives' meeting and a hands-on training workshop for Bala Vihar Sevaks, reaffirming the Mission's commitment to nurturing future generations through value-based education.

The highlight of the celebrations was the Bhagavad Gita Festival, where more than 2,500 devotees came together for the collective chanting of Chapter 15 of the Bhagavad Gita and the Gita Panchamrit, creating a powerful atmosphere of spiritual fervour. The programme also featured a soulful musical performance by Grammy Award-winning vocalist Chandrika Tandon, a parade of regional organisations and temples, and a special felicitation of Bala Vihar coordinators and volunteers for their decades of dedicated service.

The celebration served as a joyful tribute to Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda's vision of inspiring generations to learn, live and share the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita.
