As part of Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav, the worldwide celebration of 75 years of the Chinmaya Movement, the Chinmaya Mission Washington Regional Center welcomed devotees and families for a memorable day of devotion, learning, seva, music, food and celebration.

The Samashti Hanuman Chalisa Havan, held on 8 August at Chinmaya Somnath, brought the Chinmaya family together in a spirit of collective devotion and gratitude. The sacred morning unfolded in the divine presence of Swami Swaroopananda, Global Head of Chinmaya Mission, whose guidance and presence added a profound special dimension to the celebrations.

The atmosphere was charged with devotion as the community came together to chant the Hanuman Chalisa, invoking the strength, courage, devotion and the selfless spirit represented by Shri Hanuman. The sacred fire, rhythmic chanting and prayers created an atmosphere of deep devotion.

Beyond the Havan, the celebration reflected the vibrant spirit of the Chinmaya community through music and cultural programmes. Sevaks were present throughout the day to assist families and ensure that everyone could participate fully in the celebrations.

The event beautifully captured the essence of Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav, a celebration not merely of 75 years gone by, but of the living legacy of Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda and the continued growth of the Chinmaya Movement across the world.
