1. Yuva Kendra
Chinmaya Yuva Kendra (CHYK) is the global youth wing of Chinmaya Mission. It aims to help young people discover their hidden potential and tap into their infinite inner source at will.
CHYK Motto: Harnessing Youth Potential through Dynamic Spirituality
CHYK Mission Statement: To empower youth with the vision, values, and dynamism for success in all fields.
Swami Chinmayananda founded CHYK with the vision of enabling youth to recognize their limitless inner strength. Through an uplifting atmosphere of learning and guided spiritual study, he encouraged them to test the logic and practicality of Vedantic teachings in daily life. This “Spirituality in Action” or “Dynamic Spirituality” remains the CHYK tradition to this day.
2. Study Classes
CHYK study classes are interactive reading and discussion sessions based on a structured Vedantic syllabus prepared by Swami Chinmayananda and enriched by Swami Tejomayananda.
Trained moderators help participants reflect deeply, analyze critically, and discuss positively, using both scriptural wisdom and personal experience.
3. Camps / Workshops / Picnics
From residential retreats and full-day workshops to seminars, debates, picnics, and creative thematic events—CHYKs constantly innovate. These activities are designed to unfold every layer of personality: physical, mental, intellectual, and spiritual.
4. Social Service Projects
Dynamic spirituality comes alive in CHYK through meaningful service.
CHYKs regularly participate in social initiatives such as teaching value-based lessons to rural children (through CORD USA), fundraising events, and walkathons to support CORD projects. These activities nurture compassion, responsibility, and purposeful living.
