Established to serve seekers in New Jersey, Chinmaya Ramdoot has grown from a small group of devoted families into a vibrant spiritual community committed to spreading Vedantic wisdom. Inspired by Pujya Gurudev’s vision, the center uplifts individuals through spiritual education, cultural activities, and meaningful community service across the region and beyond.

Located at 1941 Holland Brook Road in Branchburg, New Jersey, Chinmaya Ramdoot serves as a spiritual sanctuary for families and seekers. Guided by dedicated Acharyas, the center offers year-round Bala Vihar classes, study groups, satsangs, festivals, and discourses that nurture learning and devotion throughout the community.

About Chinmaya Mission

Chinmaya Mission® was established in India in 1953 by devotees of world-renowned Vedanta teacher, Swami Chinmayananda. Guided by his vision, devotees world-wide work to promote the ancient wisdom of the rishis through a wide range of spiritual, educational and charitable activities. Teaching of Bhagavad Geeta and the Upanishads is central to fulfilling the Mission’s goals for individual and societal peace and happiness. Headed by Swami Swaroopananda, the Mission has more than 300 centres across 25 countries. The headquarters are in Mumbai, India.

Swami Chinmayananda

Founder of Chinmaya Mission

From 1951 to 1993, driven by gratitude to those who taught him, selfless love, and a vision of universal happiness, Swami Chinmayananda tirelessly spread the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita and the Upanishads to people around the world.


His love and service have inspired countless others to put those teachings into practice in their own lives and throughout their communities..

Swami Shantananda

First successor of Gurudev

Mesmerized by Pujya Gurudev, Swami Shantananda in sixties, then Br. Raghavan, went to serve the Master for almost two years as his traveling secretary. After completing his Vedanta course in Mumbai, Swamiji traveled to Taiwan where he successfully managed his own business while teaching Vedanta part-time. Since 1992, when he was given Sanyas by Pujya Gurudev, Swamiji has dedicated his life to the full time teaching of Vedanta in the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York area. While in Taiwan Swamiji was instrumental in building Chinmaya Mission in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Later in the US, Swamiji led the creation of Chinmaya Kedar in Langhorn PA, and then Chinmaya Vrindavan in Cranbury NJ. He has over years traveled all across the North America doing Gnana Yagna on Upanishads and the Bhagwad Geeta. In 2001, Swamiji undertook and completed 50 Geeta Gnana Yagnas all around the world as his personal tribute to Param Pujya Gurudev, during that Golden Jubilee year.Swamiji is also the President of Chinmaya Mission West which in turn oversees the activities of over 48 Mission centers in the US and Canada.
