Chinmaya Amrit Yatra in Vijayawada

Vijayawada welcomed Chinmaya Amrit Yatra with Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda's sacred padukas and idol at the entrance of the revered Kanaka Durga Temple, the presiding deity of Vijayawada on 8 June 2026.  

The convoy then travelled across all five Chinmaya Mission centres in Vijayawada - Chinmaya Sharada Tapovanam, Chinmaya Dhyanamandir, Chinmaya Pitamahasadan, Chinmaya Vihar and Chinmaya Swarna Prabha, as hundreds of devotees received Gurudev with reverence and devotional chanting.

In the evening, a vibrant flower-decked, horse-drawn procession carrying Gurudev's idol and padukas made its way to Siddhartha Academy Grounds, accompanied by Bala Vihar children, CHYK members, and Devi groups, showcasing the spirit of the Chinmaya Mission.

The public programme featured the presence of distinguished guests including Swami Vinischalananda Maharaj - in charge of Ramakrishna Mission Vijayawada, Swami Bhakti Chaitanyananda - Bihar School of Yoga in Vijayawada, Swami Sarveshananda and Swami Sakshiroopananda - Chinmaya Mission Greater Hyderabad, Swamini Rajitananda - Chinmaya Mission Gudivada, Swami Suveerananda - Chinmaya Mission Guntur, Swami Turiyananda - Chinmaya Mission Kadapa, Swamini Poorvajananda - Chinmaya Mission Eluru, Brni. Taarini Chaitanya, Br. Sudheer Chaitanya, Brni. Sowjanya Chaitanya, Brni. Usha Chaitanya, Shri Ch.Mallikarjuna Rao garu and Swami Sarvagananda of Chinmaya Mission Vijayawada.


The evening came alive with vibrant cultural performances, including a captivating Kolattam presentation, followed by inspiring talks, an AI-generated address by Gurudev, a moving video narration by Swami Swaroopananda, and heartfelt experiences shared by the Yuvaveers from the nationwide Chinmaya Amrit Yatra. The programme concluded with the Chinmaya arati and the distribution of Gita Panchamit books, leaving devotees filled with gratitude, devotion and inspiration.

Around 500 devotees had darshan of the Chinmaya Amrit Vahini and had dinner prasad, marking the end of a spiritually enriching and memorable day.
