A seven-day Shrimad Bhagavata Katha Camp in Hindi was conducted by Swami Abhedananda (Chinmaya Mission South Africa) at Chinmaya Vibhooti, Kolwan, from 20 to 26 May 2026, during the auspicious Adhik Maas also known as Purushottama Maas. The camp drew over 400 participants from 7 different countries and 19 different parts of India, and who gathered to immerse themselves in the timeless wisdom and devotional fervour of the Bhagavatam.

The programme commenced with a vibrant Shobha Yatra, setting a festive and devotional tone for the week. Throughout the camp, four priests performed the recitation of the Shrimad Bhagavata and conducted daily puja, adding depth and sanctity to the proceedings. Through the depths of his engaging and inspiring discourses, Swami Abhedananda brought alive the profound teachings and stories of the Bhagavatam in Sudharma Auditorium, making them relevant to contemporary life.

The camp featured celebrations of Shri Rama Janma, Shri Krishna Janma and Rukmini Vivah, which were marked by devotion, enthusiasm and joyful expression. Daily bhajans and satsangs enriched the spiritual atmosphere and fostered a sense of community among the participants.

Campers also visited Pranav Ganesh Mandir and Chinmaya Maruti Mandir, spent reflective moments at Swanubhooti Vatika, and explored Chinmaya Jeevan Darshan. These experiences complemented the scriptural study and provided opportunities for contemplation and inner growth.

The camp concluded on 27 May with a sacred Havan and Guru Paduka Puja, offering participants an opportunity to express their gratitude and devotion to God and Guru. Two Hindi booklets written by Swami Abhedananda were released during the camp, namely "Gurudev Tava Mahaniya Kripa" and "Bhagavad Gita - Aapke Liye".

A notable feature of the camp was the wholehearted involvement of the campers in various ways. Participants embraced the spirit of selfless service with enthusiasm and dedication. The camp proved to be a beautiful confluence of devotion, knowledge, satsang, and seva, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.
