Mukhya Acharya
Swami Swaroopananda is the Global Head of Chinmaya Mission, having taken on this responsibility from Swami Tejomayananda in January 2017. He also serves as the Chancellor of Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth (Chinmaya University) and oversees the activities of more than 350 Chinmaya Mission Centres around the world.
Trained under both Swami Chinmayananda and Swami Tejomayananda, Swamiji brings together depth of knowledge, clarity of thought, and a dynamic approach to service. He is constantly on the move, whether teaching Vedanta, guiding youth, engaging with corporate leaders, supporting institutional growth, or bringing practical wisdom into everyday life. Raised in Mumbai and drawn deeply to Vedanta as a student in Hong Kong, Swamiji’s early years of service in the Far East reflected his ability to blend tradition with relevance - a hallmark that continues to define his global outreach. Whether addressing spiritual seekers, students or professionals, his message is practical, insightful and transformative.

Swami Swatmananda
Resident Acharya
Swami Swatmananda Saraswati is disciple of Pūjya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda. He is a dynamic spiritual teacher and one of the senior ācāryas of Chinmaya Mission. A graduate in commerce and software programming, he went on to complete the 11th Vedānta Course at Sandeepany Sādhanālaya, Powai (1998–2000), dedicating himself fully to the study and teaching of the scriptures since then. Under his leadership, Chinmaya Mission Mumbai has expanded into eight zones with ten vibrant centres across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, serving seekers from all walks of life.
With clarity, warmth, and contemporary relevance, Swamiji unfolds the timeless truths of Advaita Vedānta through discourses on the Bhagavad Gītā and the Upaniṣads, meditation retreats, youth initiatives, corporate workshops, and transformative camps for children and young adults. He has mentored several batches of the Youth Empowerment Programme (YEP), a value-based leadership initiative that nurtures committed young leaders devoted to the nation and its culture.
A visionary in blending tradition with creativity, he envisioned Chinmaya Pradeep, an outdoor Vedāntic vision park that brings Hindu culture and Vedānta to life through immersive experiences. He has also written and directed acclaimed theatrical productions: Adṛśya: Quest for the Unseen (inspired by the Saraswati Civilisation), Just Like That (based on the Bhagavad Gītā), and Dharmayoddha Vidyāraṇya, performed widely across Bharat.
He has also authored several books like, “Be Shiva: 108 Sacred Names & Sadhanas”, “Purnamadah Purnamidam”, “Burning Women-myths” etc.
Having completed the 3,400 km Narmada Parikrama on foot in 2024, Swamiji embodies the spirit of a true sādhaka. Rooted in discipline, reflection, and devotion, he inspires seekers to recognise that the spiritual path is a living journey that is courageous, transformative, and open to all.
Known for his simplicity, foresight, and balanced approach, Swami Swatmananda Saraswati has addressed corporates, youth groups, and spiritual seekers nationwide. His teachings emphasize living a life of inner freedom, depth, and responsibility, firmly rooted in the spiritual culture of Bhārata.

Br.Samarth Chaitanya
Upa-Acharya
Hailing from Dapoli, a small town in Maharashtra, Brahamachari Samaratha Chaitanya serves Chinmaya Mission’s cause in Navi Mumbai, spanning Airoli to Panvel. Fluent in Sanskrit, English, Hindi and Marathi, he studied in the 18th batch of the Vedanta Course at Sandeepany Sadhanalaya, where he trained under the esteemed guidance of Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda.
Before this he has also studied Sanskrit and Nyayashastra in traditional Gurukul for 2.5 years in parabhani. There he was trained in Sanskrit grammar and literature through texts like Laghu-sinddhanta kaumudi, Raghuvamsha Mahakavya and Nyaya texts like Tarkasangraha and Tarkasangraha Dipika.
Brahmachari Samaratha resides at Chinmaya Prerana, Mahalakshmi Temple, Kharghar. Apart from taking Bhagvad Gita, Upanishad, and CIF classes at the Chinmaya Prerana, he also conducts havans, does parayan, and gives pravachans. He teaches Sanskrit and judges the mission’s annual Gita Chanting Competition, given his strong command over the Sanskrit language.
According to his students, who include adults, youth, children, Brahmachari Samartha adapts, to explain the most complex ideas and concepts in the simplest of words.
