Chinmaya Mission Karimnagar witnessed an outpouring of devotion and enthusiasm as the Chinmaya Amrit Yatra arrived in the city on 29 May 2026, bringing together hundreds of devotees for a day filled with worship, inspiration and celebration of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda’s legacy.

The occasion was graced by Swami Yajnananda, Swami Suveerananda, Swami Turiyananda, Br Narayana Chaitanya, Brni Usha Chaitanya, and from the Yatra team Br Sudheer Chaitanya and Brni Tarini Chaitanya along with the dedicated Yuva Veers. The event was further enriched by the presence of Shri Chittimalla Srinivas Garu, Chairman of Vasavi Trust and President of the Chamber of Commerce.

The celebrations commenced with a grand car and bike rally, covering nearly 10 kilometres through the town. The sacred Murti and Padukas of Gurudev were ceremoniously placed in a beautifully decorated Ratham that led the procession. Accompanied by devotional fervour and vibrant performances of the traditional Oggu Dollu folk dance, the rally transformed the streets of Karimnagar into a moving celebration of spirituality and culture.

Upon arrival at the Mission premises, devotees accorded a warm reception to the sacred Padukas, followed by a reverential Guru Paduka Puja. Later in the morning, Yuva Veers Sumukh and Srividya conducted an inspiring motivational session, sharing transformative experiences from the Yatra and highlighting the value of seva and spiritual living.

A significant highlight of the day was the inauguration of the Chinmaya Vani Mobile Bookstall by the team of Swamis amidst Vedic chanting. The initiative, which serves as an effective platform for the dissemination of Gurudev’s teachings. received an enthusiastic response from devotees. 

In the evening, collective chanting of the Shri Lalita Sahasranama, Bhagavad Gita Chapter 15, and the Hanuman Chalisa, filled the atmosphere with devotion and spiritual fervour. Over 500 devotees received the blessed opportunity to have darshan of the Chinmaya Amrita Vahini. The main programme that followed featured cultural performances by children and a series of inspiring audio-visual presentations, including Gita Panchamrit by Gurudev, a documentary on the growth of Chinmaya Mission, a musical biographical presentation on Gurudev’s life, and a promotional video on the upcoming Global Sammelan.

The gathering was addressed by the Yuva Veers, who shared inspiring experiences from the Yatra, and by the visiting Acharyas, who encouraged devotees to strengthen Chinmaya Mission’s activities at the grassroots level. In his special address, Shri Chittimalla Srinivas Garu expressed his wholehearted support for the Mission and pledged his efforts towards establishing a permanent premises for Chinmaya Mission Karimnagar.

A special felicitation ceremony honoured the Swamis, Brahmacharins, and Yuva Veers for their dedicated service. Approximately 800 devotees were served lunch and dinner prasad during the day, fostering a spirit of fellowship and community.

The Chinmaya Amrit Yatra at Karimnagar proved to be a deeply uplifting and spiritually enriching event, rekindling devotion, strengthening community bonds and inspiring participants to carry forward Gurudev’s vision through dedicated sadhana and selfless seva.

Chinmaya Mission Karimnagar expressed heartfelt gratitude to all volunteers, organisers, donors and devotees whose dedicated efforts made the event a grand success.
