CVV Student Tops IKS Olympiad

Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth (CVV) student Sreemanthula Koushik (B.Tech. CSE, S4), is the State Topper at the IKS Olympiad 2025, organised by the Central Sanskrit University, and was awarded a gold medal. The Olympiad is a prestigious national-level examination aimed at promoting awareness and understanding of India’s rich intellectual and cultural heritage.

The Olympiad is designed to assess knowledge and understanding of various dimensions of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), including Vedic literature, Indian philosophy (Darśana), traditional sciences and arts and cultural traditions.

The examination evaluates not only conceptual clarity but also analytical ability and the application of knowledge across interdisciplinary domains.

His preparation strategy included:

  • Studying foundational texts and concepts of Indian Knowledge Systems
  • Engaging with traditional sources and scholarly materials
  • Practicing analytical and application-based questions

This structured approach helped him develop a deeper understanding of the subject.

Currently, Sreemanthula serves as the President of the IKS Club at CVV. This role has significantly enhanced his interest and involvement in IKS. It has provided him with opportunities to promote awareness about traditional knowledge, organise academic and co-curricular activities and engage with like-minded peers and scholars

This accomplishment reflects his sincere academic efforts and demonstrates his commitment to IKS. It also serves as a strong motivation for future research and academic pursuits. This achievement has further strengthened his commitment to the study and promotion of Indian Knowledge Systems.
