Chinmaya Institute of Nursing

Established in 1985 by the Karnataka Chinmaya Seva Trust, the Chinmaya Institute of Nursing began as a sister concern of Chinmaya Mission Hospital (CMH). In 1986, it launched a three-year Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery, approved by the Indian and Karnataka Nursing Councils.

Elevated to college status in 2009, the Institute now offers a four-year Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Nursing, starting with an intake of 40 students. Located on the Chinmaya Hospital campus in Bengaluru, the college is equipped with modern infrastructure and state-of-the-art facilities to nurture skilled and compassionate nursing professionals.

Nara Seva is Narayana Seva

Rooted in the ideal of Nara Seva is Narayana Seva (Service to Humanity is Service to the Divine), the Institute is committed to training caring and skilled nurses through a well-rounded and value-based education.

In addition to clinical training at the CMH, student nurses are taught to provide care with devotion and confidence.

Supplementary modules in Indian philosophy, culture and ethical principles enable holistic development and help students attain a keen sense of service and responsibility to patients.
