Chinmaya Mission Hospital (CMH), located in Bengaluru, India is a service-oriented healthcare institution supported by over 100 consulting specialists and dedicated core staff. Each year, the hospital performs around 5,000 surgeries and conducts over 500,000 lab tests. Operated by the Karnataka Chinmaya Seva Trust, CMH is ISO 9001:2008 certified and accredited by National Accreditation Board for Hospitals (NABH).

The mission of the hospital is to provide prompt, humane patient care at affordable cost in all fields of medicine and surgery to all strata of society. CMH is dedicated to a vision for quality and safe medical, surgical and nursing care that strives to meet global health care standards providing the best and the latest in all fields of medicine and surgery.

Humble Origins, Lifesaving Impact

From a Modest Room to A Full-fledged Hospital

CMH began in 1960 when a small group of devoted followers of Swami Chinmayananda sought to serve humanity by offering their skills and resources. They rented a modest room in Murphy Town, a slum area in Bengaluru, and began running a biweekly medical clinic for the underprivileged.

When Gurudev learned of this heartfelt initiative, he envisioned a full-fledged hospital dedicated to compassionate care. Inspired by this vision, funds were raised, land was acquired and construction began. In 1970, CMH was officially inaugurated by Gurudev in Indira Nagar, thus, in a decade, it turned from a small Clinic to an Institution, rooted in service, compassion, and healing.
