On its Goa leg, the Chinmaya Amrit Yatra convoy arrived in Kudchade from Panaji on 17 February 2026. Around 40 devotees warmly welcomed the Yatra at Santoshi Mata Mandir with flower garlands, conch blowing and aarti.
Continuing its focus on youth outreach, as part of a programme themed ‘Harnessing Youth Potential,’ Swami Anukoolananda addressed students at the Polytechnic. Swami Sughoshananda at ITI, Brahmacharini Taarini Chaitanya at the New Education Institute, and Yuva Veers at CTN High School conducted Gita-based interactive sessions, reaching over 300 students.
In the evening, a grand procession with traditional musical instruments, flags and devotees moved from Sawardekar Wada to the Pontemol Road junction, in front of the Chinmaya Mission Ashram, Curchorem, where Swami Mitrananda unveiled the ‘Swami Chinmayananda Chowk’ name board. Held in the presence of Shri Pramod Naik (Chairperson of Kudchade Municipal Council) and MLA Shri Nilesh Kabral, the event symbolised the community’s enduring respect and affection for Swami Chinmayananda.
Later, a special programme was held at Chinmaya Archana Ashram, where a beautiful Paduka Puja was attended by over 100 devotees. Inspiring talks, appreciation of the Amrit Yatris, and mahaprasad followed.
The occasion brought together like-minded associations, including the Warakari Sangh. Smt. Kiran Sawardekar graciously hosted the Yatra at her ancestral Sawardekar Wada and ensured a comfortable stay, contributing greatly to the success of the event.
Swami Mitrananda inspired the local community to plan meaningful initiatives for the next 10 years and appealed to everyone to reclaim and preserve our national culture, emphasising the rightful use of the name “Kudchade” instead of “Curchorem.”
