The brand new Chinmaya Mission Brisbane Centre, named Chinmaya Bhuvanam, was inaugurated by Swami Swaroopananda (Global Head, Chinmaya Mission) on 26 July 2025.

Following a traditional welcome, the deity installation ceremonies began. After the Centre inauguration, it was time for Devi Bhuvaneshwari's eyes to behold it, and Swami Swaroopananda performed the beautiful Nethra Unmilanam ceremony, before addressing the gathering once Puja was performed. Maha Arati was a moment of high inspiration, after which everyone could take blessings of Devi before they had lunch prasad. The Bhuvaneshwari Devi Arati and a special shloka for the new Centre, have both been composed by Swami Tejomayananda.

The evening programme included Guru Paduka Puja, Satsang and Arati.

The Centre will promote Vedantic studies, meditation, grassroots classes for all ages, chanting, devotional music, Yoga, spiritual literature, and much more, while offering a platform for volunteers to offer selfless service.
