
In a grand spiritual experience, celebrating Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav, Chinmaya Mission Mumbai hosted Chant Mumbai, Shant Mumbai on 1 February 2026 at MMRDA Grounds, BKC.
Organised with an intention of invoking Lord Hanuman's blessings through collective prayer for peace, prosperity and harmony of the Mumbai city and the society at large.
The event was graced by Swami Tejomayananda, fondly known as Guruji, and the Global Head, Swami Swaroopananda, along with many Swamins and Brahmacharins of the Mission. With thousands of devotees, leading industrialists such as Kumar Mangalam Birla, Arvind Mafatlal, and Ajay Piramal, also attended the event. Siddhi Vinayak Temple’s treasurer and BJP Mumbai secretary, Pawan Tripathi, as well as dignitaries from ISKCON and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) were also present.
With 276 havan kunds (fire altars), the air resonated powerful chanting of 21 rounds of Hanuman Chalisa led by various singers, as nearly 10,000 devotees took part in the havan. The final round, brimming with devotional energy was marked by energetic singing and dancing, culminating in a grand Purnahuti and Aarti.
An AI-curated movie on the life and works of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda, VR-powered stall, Chinmaya Vani book exhibition, stalls depicting the glories of Hanuman, and the Chinmaya Vahini, carrying Gurudev’s artefacts through the Chinmaya Amrit Yatra to spread His vision and legacy nationwide, were among the highlights of the event.
