CBCC Core Committee members meet Mata Amritanandamayee and Sri Sri Ravishankar.

As forerunners to the forthcoming mega event of Chinmaya Birth Centenary Celebrations, a few curtain raiser programmes have been organized to draw the attention of the public and also to create awareness about the importance of the programme. Br. Dhruva Chaitanya, Br. Siddhu and Yuvaveer Sujith have been organizing a few area Yagnas and also some programme like Mass Geeta Chanting in and around Ernakulam.

A few important events organized so far are as follows:

i) Swami Viviktanandaji and a few CBCC Core Committee members visited Mata Amritananda Mayee Amma and sought her blessings and goodwill on 14th February, 2015. She also released a brochure brought out in connection with the CBCC. She assured all support and help required for the CBCC event.

ii) An All Kerala Chinmaya Mission Sevaks’ conference was held at TDM hall, Ernakulam on 1stMarch, 2015. There was overwhelming response from all Chinmaya Mission centres in the State. The Regional Head briefed everyone about the forthcoming event and he appealed to everyone to work hard for stepping up registration of delegates. He also stated that all Vidyalaya staffers excluding the menial staff were expected ro register for the 3 days’ event at Cochin. Besides these, the management and the members should endeavour to enlist the support of the parents for purposes of registration. However, regarding the number of students to be brought to the venue, it has to be ommunicated to the CBCC office well in advance. Chinmaya Vidyalaya students coming for the event need not register. However, they should have the Identity Card on them and the leader/escorting teacher should carry a letter from the Principal concerned giving the details regarding the number of students, their names, etc.

iii) A minimum of 50 members be enrolled as delegates from each Mission centre in Kerala.

iv) A Mass Geeta Chanting (complete Geeta text) involving 10,000 people on 8th May is also being taken up. As a curtain-raiser to that, Cini Actor Bharat Suresh Gopi distributed free Bhagawad Geeta copies among all students at a function held on 4th March at TDM hall, Kochi.

v) Swami Viviktanandaji and the team met Sri Sri Ravi Shanker at his Ashram in Bangalore on 7th March, 2015. Sri Sri Ravishankerji also released a ‘Patrika’ on Chinmaya Jyothi Yatra (Chinmaya Sandesha Vahini). He promised to extend all possible support for the forthcoming event.
