As part of the Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth (CVV) Seva Course Initiative, students of the B.Com. and Psychology programmes at the Warriam Road facility, organised ‘Celebrating Our Campus Heroes’ on 13 January 2026, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
During the one-hour session, students actively participated in creating heartfelt gratitude cards to express appreciation for the invaluable services rendered by the University’s supporting staff. The handmade cards were personally distributed to members of the security staff, healthcare providers, cleaning staff and canteen staff.
The students distributed the cards and engaged in a warm and meaningful interaction with the staff members. More than six supporting staff members were present during the session, and the remaining gratitude cards were distributed to staff members across the campus, ensuring wider outreach.
The activity fostered a warm and emotionally enriching atmosphere, allowing students to meaningfully connect with the supporting staff and acknowledge their often-unseen contributions to campus life. The staff members received the gesture with smiles and heartfelt appreciation, making the event both impactful and memorable.
Overall, the programme effectively embodied the core values of CVV's Seva Course by fostering empathy, social responsibility and respect for the dignity of labour among students, while also strengthening a shared sense of community, compassion and collective responsibility within the student body.
