RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat visited Adi Sankara Nilayam, Veliyanad - the maternal birth-home of Shri Adi Shankaracharya, on 25 July 2025. 

He was welcomed to Chinmaya International Foundation (CIF) by Swami Viviktananda (Regional Head, Chinmaya Mission Kerala), Swami Sharadananda (Resident Acharya, Vedanta Sadhaka Course) and Swami Chidrupananda (Chinmaya Mission, Noida). 

Dr. Bhagwat offered Arati in the sacred birth-room of Shri Adi Shankaracharya and spent time going through the "illam" (residence) and viewing the vibrant mural paintings that narrate Shri Shankara's life and teachings.

The visit was during the National Chintan Baithak & Education Conference being held at Adi Sankara Nilayam, Piravom, Kerala.
