Chinmaya Mission Ukkunagaram, Visakhapatnam, marked the Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav with deep devotion and community participation through a 108-day Chinmaya Hanuman Yatra, culminating in a grand Samashti Hanuman Chalisa Havan.
The Hanuman Yatra, which commenced on 9 December 2025, covered 108 residences over 108 days, touching the lives of nearly 2,500 families. A remarkable 32,254 recitations of the Hanuman Chalisa were completed during this spiritually uplifting journey.
The celebrations concluded on 5 April 2026, with the Samashti Hanuman Chalisa Havan. The programme began with a graceful Kolattam, a traditional folk dance offered in reverence by the Devi group. The Guru Paduka Puja and Hanuman Puja filled the hall with devotion and spiritual fervour. A total of 108 yajamans, dressed in vibrant traditional attire, participated in the havan, led by Swami Raghuveerananda and guided by Swami Paratmananda. Amidst the soulful chanting of the Hanuman Chalisa by the Venkateswara Bhajan Mandali, devotees offered their oblations with deep devotion.
The presence of Swami Vinamrananda Mata of Shanti Ashram added to the sanctity of the occasion. The event also witnessed active participation from various Hindu organisations, including VHP, RSS, Sanatana Parivar, Trishakti Temple Committee, Ukkunagaram Devalayam Association, and Ayyappa Committee.
The programme concluded with the serving of lunch prasad to all participants. The grand celebration was widely appreciated and stood as a beautiful expression of unity, devotion, and collective prayer.
