To mark the 75th year Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, Chinmaya Mission Ahmedabad organised a "Gita Vandana" event on 11 January 2026. 

The event was graced by Hon. Shri Jagadish Vishwakarma, President of the Gujarat State BJP, as the Chief Guest, and Shri Chimanbhai Agrawal as the guest of honour. Several other distinguished guests and eminent dignitaries were also present on the occasion. The guests wholeheartedly appreciated Chinmaya Mission’s dedicated service in the fields of spirituality, culture and value-based education.

Celebrated with great grandeur and spiritual fervour, the two-hour programme offered the audience a truly divine and soul-stirring experience. A grand ceremonial procession of the Bhagavad Gita, along with collective chanting of Chapter 15 by over 1000 participants, offered a shared celebration of Vedantic wisdom.

A captivating musical dance presentation based on Gita Panchamrit, showcasing five select verses of the Bhagavad Gita, mesmerised the attendees. Cultural performances by the Chinmaya Mission Bala Vihar children were a delight to watch.

A video message by Swami Swaroopananda, Global Head of Chinmaya Mission, and a short film on Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda, depicting His message and Mission through soulful music and narrative, filled hearts with Guru Bhakti and reverence. 

The programme concluded with Gita Maha Aarti, transforming the entire ambience into an atmosphere of divinity, peace and transcendence. Following the Chinmaya Mission tradition, special prasad books on Gita Panchamrit were distributed. The attendees left with hearts full of inspiration and devotion. 

As part of the ongoing Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, Chinmaya Mission Ahmedabad will be hosting the Chinmaya Amrit Yatra with a special Republic Day celebration and Shri Hanuman Chalisa Havan during the Paramdham Patotsav, adding to the spiritual vibrancy of the year-long celebration.
