As part of the 75th year Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav celebration, Chinmaya Mission Sambalpur organised a Samashti Gita Chanting event on 6 January 2026. 

A group recitation of chapter 15 of the Bhagavad Gita by hundreds of people, created a deeply divine and uplifting atmosphere. The chanting fostered spiritual awareness, discipline and cultural values among the participants, especially the youth.

On this occasion, the Gita Panchamrit booklet, featuring five select verses of the Bhagavad Gita  were distributed to school children, encouraging continued study and reflection.

Swami Chinmayananda’s profound love for the Bhagavad Gita earned him the revered title of Gitacharya. As the Chinmaya Movement marks its 75th year, Samashti Gita Chanting, creating moments of synchrony and shared silence amid the noise of modern life, offered a collective pause and reset.
