On Sunday 27 July 2025, Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the Tamil versification of the Bhagavad Gita, created by Chinmaya Mission Chennai, as envisioned by Swami Mitrananda. This is Chinmaya Mission’s gift to the Tamil diaspora from around the world, for the 75th year of the Chinmaya Movement.

The release happened at GangaiKonda, Cholapuram, in Tamil Nadu, where the Prime Minister acknowledged and praised the efforts of Chinmaya Mission and all those connected to the project, for their contribution in adding to the legacy of Tamil culture.

Now the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita can be experienced through this soulful Tamil rendition, featuring select verses conveying the essence of the Gita, set to powerful music by the legendary maestro, Ilaiyaraaja.
