Chinmaya Mission Visakhapatnam West (Ukkunagaram) has initiated a new educational programme for village students at Chinmaya Grameena Vikasa Kendram, Sabbavaram Mandal, Anakapalli District.

"Chinmaya Vidya Vardhan" is a structured educational programme that selects 40 students from economically backward backgrounds in the villages, providing free coaching in Maths and English.

This is after three months of background work by an advisory council and talks with principals and teachers of local government schools. On 1 September the team addressed the students and told them about the need and importance of the programme.
