Celebrating the Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav, the Putharikandam Maithanam at Thiruvanathapuram came alive with devotion during a three-day discourse series by Swami Swaroopananda, the Global Head of Chinmaya Mission. Titled Anantham Swaroopam, the talks were held from 20–22 February 2026, drawing devotees from across the city who gathered in large numbers to partake in the nectar of scriptural wisdom unfolded with depth, clarity and compassion.

Drawing from Gita Panchamrit, five universally applicable verses of the Bhagavad Gita, Swami Swaroopananda expounded the timeless teachings in a manner that was detailed yet simple, profound and deeply relatable. Through practical illustrations and subtle insights, he guided seekers to internalise the spirit of the Gita in their daily lives. Each session left the audience reflective and inspired, reinforcing the relevance of Vedantic wisdom in contemporary living.

The inaugural evening commenced on a vibrant devotional note with melodious bhajans rendered by over 500 children. Their collective offering created an atmosphere of joy and reverence, setting the tone for the discourse series. On the next day, a collective chanting of the Hanuman Chalisa by students and teachers filled the air with powerful devotional vibrations. The concluding day began with a Hanuman Chalisa Havan, invoking divine blessings for universal welfare and in the evening more than 10,000 devotees gathered to participate in collective chanting of the 15th Chapter of the Bhagavad Gita. A specially crafted musical AI video depicting the life and tireless work of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda deeply moved the audience, evoking a profound sense of gratitude and reverence.

Adding colour to the spiritually elevating event was a painting exhibition showcasing the creative expressions  on the theme of Shri Hanuman’s Life by students from Chinmaya Vidyalayas. The exhibition drew appreciation from parents and visitors, highlighting the harmonious blending of culture, creativity and spirituality.

Swami Swaroopananda also conducted a special session for the teachers, titled Acharya Devo Bhava. In the inspiring address, he reminded them to view teaching not merely as a profession but as a noble sadhana a sacred responsibility rooted in values, self-discipline and lived example. The session served as a powerful reaffirmation of the Guru–Shishya tradition and deeply inspired the teaching fraternity.

A special session titled Prerna was also conducted by Swami Swaroopananda for an exclusive gathering, comprising representatives from diverse walks of society, During the session, he spoke about Make It Happen, an initiative widely acclaimed in India and abroad, aimed at inspiring leadership, self-development and transformation. His one-on-one interaction with the guests sparked a deeper connection, encouraging them to align their goals with their true nature.

The three-day series stood as a vibrant confluence of devotion, knowledge and collective participation - strengthening the bond with the Guru, the Gita and the timeless ideals of the Chinmaya Movement.
